SMS marketing pricing with setup work spelled out

SMS marketing pricing should make the setup work visible. Our plans separate account audit, registration prep, campaign buildout, automation work, and ongoing reporting so teams know what is included.

Message costs are separate

Platform and carrier costs are billed by the SMS provider, not SMS Marketing Team. Twilio lists U.S. outbound SMS to long codes starting at $0.0083 per message, with carrier fees and destination rates applying. Managed platforms may use monthly tiers, credits, carrier pass-through fees, or revenue-based pricing.

Before a quote is final, we estimate volume from list size, expected sends per month, automation triggers, MMS use, and sender type. A 20,000-subscriber list sending 4 campaigns per month has a very different cost profile than a service business sending appointment reminders.

What changes the quote

List sizeMore subscribers usually means more segmentation, QA, and send planning.
Sender type10DLC, toll-free, and short code options change prep and timing.
Platform stateClean Klaviyo SMS accounts move faster than imported lists with missing consent fields.
Campaign cadenceWeekly drops need more creative and more performance review than monthly sends.

FAQ

Do your fees include SMS sending costs?

No. Sending costs, carrier fees, platform subscriptions, and phone-number costs stay with the SMS provider. Our fee covers strategy, setup, copy, QA, reporting, and management work. We estimate expected message costs before launch so a campaign calendar does not surprise the finance team after the first billing cycle.

Why is setup billed separately from management?

Setup has a different workload than monthly management. It includes consent review, sender checks, registration prep, flow mapping, template writing, QA, and reporting structure. Once that base is working, monthly management shifts to campaign planning, testing, review, and changes based on delivery, CTR, opt-out, and revenue data.

Can we start with an audit only?

Yes. The audit is the lowest-risk starting point for teams with an existing SMS account. It gives you a written review of consent capture, sender status, flows, segmentation, campaign cadence, and KPI tracking. Some teams implement the findings themselves; others use the audit as the first step into launch or management.
